Mostafa Nagaty is a seasoned finance and accounting executive with over 20 years of experience spanning public accounting, corporate leadership, and financial strategy.
As a former executive at KKR, Mostafa served as CFO and Treasurer of KKR Real Estate Finance Trust Inc. (NYSE: KREF), an S&P 600 company. At KREF, he spearheaded the transformation of its capital structure and oversew corporate finance, treasury, accounting and financial reporting, SOX compliance, tax, and corporate governance.
Prior to KKR, Mostafa was the CFO of the real estate business of Annaly Capital Management (NYSE: NLY), where he managed financial operations for one of the largest publicly traded mortgage REITs. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Manager at PwC and EY, leading strategic client relationships for prominent real estate and investment management firms.
Mostafa’s journey began in public accounting in Egypt with PwC before moving to the United States in 2002, where he worked with Squar Milner (now part of Baker Tilly). His international experience and deep understanding of global financial practices have shaped his approach to delivering innovative, tailored solutions for his clients.
Mostafa earned his MBA from Columbia University and a degree in Accounting from Ain Shams University. He is also a California-licensed CPA.
